What instrument(s) do you play and what type?

I'll go first ....

Trained classically in both piano & flute but play guitar (Taylor) for worship. Learnt Tenor sax & bassoon as a kid but don't play anymore.

I have a Taylor 814CE plus a Taylor Big Baby. My next guitar is a Martin HD28V. I play through a Roland AC60 running a stereo signal to the board. With the Expression System the Taylor does not feedback and the tone is great. I also have a Yamaha Bass (4 string) that I play through a 12inch Crate. Our worship team currently consists of 3 brothers and 2 sisters. 2 guitar players total so we have to work on vocal content which I love to do. God has blessed the team. We also have a sister who plays keyboards but she will be moving onto a new fellowship the end of this year where she and her family will help that ministry.

I have been strumming (I would not quite call it playing) a guitar for the last few years. Recently got a Fender cutaway which is a lot easier to play than my previous guitar (Ibanez accoustic).

I did play the keyboard when I was young, but everything learned has long been forgotten...

I hopw to get hold of a sax later in the month (borrowed not bought), as it is something I have always wanted to play but never owned.

hey guys...

I grew up playing the accordian (from age 5-16) - junior virtuoso, but quit before attempting the virtuoso stage... hormones kicked in and accordian just wasn't swingin' with the girls.

I picked up the guitar about 10 years, and am self taught - I hate theory, or rather trying to learn theory - it just seems to slow me down. One of these days, I hope to be patient enough to learn the nitty gritty's, but don't see it coming yet.

I've played just about every guitar there is: PRS, Gibsons, Fenders, Takamine, Martin, Guild, etc.

My fave is my current: Fender Lonestar Strat. I love Les Paul's, and hollow bodies, but don't currently own either. My acoustic is an old Guild... time for an upgrade soon.

I've also played through a lot of amps - Boogie, Marshall, Johnson, etc., but my favorite right now is my Fender Blues Junior - all tube, and small enough in power that I can get the tubes glowing without blowing out the windows of my house.

That’s awesome! It sounds like you have a really diverse musical background! I mainly play guitar too, but I also dabble with keyboards. I love how each instrument brings something different to the table, especially in worship settings. Have you found that playing the guitar has changed your approach to music compared to piano or flute?
