Quiz/Curry night

Just wanted to chip in with an update following a quiz/curry night I went to last Thursday.

It was a Christian run event at Hamilton Academical's stadium which was capped off by a message from Hull City player Stuart Elliott (he's quite a speaker by the way). A really enjoyable night, one of the most enjoyable Christian events I've been to in quite some time.

Prayer breeding prayer

Just a quick jump-in here as I've not posted anything here for a while.

Been trying to get into prayer a bit more seriously of late. Am committing myself to pray for two people for a fixed period of time, one a backslider the other someone who's never been a Christian. Doing okay so far, but have found that as I pray for them I end up bringing more and more people into those prayers. Parents, siblings, etc. Not something I had expected but certainly isn't something negative.

Busy end to a busy year

Busy end to the year. Lorraine is back at work now, which makes things pretty chaotic. Also I'm not sure having a daughter born in December was such a good idea, as having Christmas so quickly after a child's birthday doesn't leave much time to get things organised.

I hope everyone reading this has had a terrific Christmas and will have a blessed 2007!

Just a quick update. Not been up to much lately, but have been enjoying some good e-mail discussions with Christian friends on a number of issues.

For some reason I've been thinking on a pretty deep level about a number of things, and reading some pretty interesting responses from a number of different sources. Not that it is really inspiring me to do much, just food for thought.

Have I really not put anything here for over two years? Not good.

Anyway, just wanted to post that I'm getting a real lesson in persisting about prayer in my daily readings.

I'm posting this so someone can remind me the next time I forget to do this the next time I really need to. :D

Having a bit of a slog through Revelation at present. As mentioned by some though, you are promised a blessing for reading it and it is quite comforting to read it and know which side you're on.

Which doesn't stop you thinking about unsaved friends though. :(
