Genesis 5:12-14
KJV(i)12 And Cainan lived seventy years and begat Mahalaleel: 13 And Cainan lived after he begat Mahalaleel eight hundred and forty years, and begat sons and daughters: 14 And all the days of Cainan were nine hundred and ten years: and he died.
ECB(i)12 And Qeyan lives seventy years and births Ma Halal El: 13 and after Qeyan births Ma Halal El he lives eight hundred years and forty years and births sons and daughters: 14 and all the days of Qeyan - nine hundred years and ten years: and he dies.
My thoughts.
Kenan means possession and Mahalalel means praises of God. The line of Seth continues to get closer to God while the rest of the world gets futher away, the Christian walk is to be like this. Adam was at the 395 when Mahalalel was born, Seth was 265 and, Enosh was 175.
