POSIT: If Earth were a spinning ball, airplanes couldn't fly from point to point in a
straight line south to north.
For example when flying from Fresno Calif. to Reno Nev. a pilot would have to aim
his airplane a bit to the west to compensate for the Earth's motion sort of like how
hunters "lead" running game.
